El tema de este artículo analiza los mitos y las lecciones para enfrentar en mejores condiciones la problemática de la pobreza en América Latina y el Caribe. Destaca cómo sacar enseñanzas de las políticas, programas y proyectos sociales puestos en práctica dentro de la región, así como los diseños de estrategias y modelos de planeación que los gobiernos han intentado hacer funcionar para reducir la miseria en los diversos países de la región.

Este artículo pretende elevar la discusión sobre los mitos y lecciones que entrega la realidad latinoamericana, sacar enseñanzas de las mismas para enfrentar en mejores condiciones la pobreza en América Latina y el Caribe.

Abstract

The topic of this article analyzes the myths and the lessons to better face the poverty problem in Latin America and the Caribbean. It highlights how to learn from the policies, programs and social projects established in the region, as well as the strategies and planning models design that governments have tried to operate to reduce poverty in the various countries of the region.

This article intends to raise a discussion on the myths and lessons delivered by the Latin American reality, and to learn from them, in order to better face poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean.
